Biography

Amanda Viveria (b. Jakarta, 6 October 1995) is a contemporary abstract painter whose work explores emotional landscapes through the language of nature. Growing up in Jakarta, she developed a quiet attentiveness as an observer, a sensibility that continues to shape her practice. Although drawn to painting from an early age, her artistic voice was formed outside formal art education, through lived experience and self-exploration.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design and worked in the field for eight years before returning to painting in 2023, producing her first solo exhibition that same year.
Deeply inspired by nature—its skies, tides, horizons, and elemental rhythms—Viveria translates human moods and inner states into contemporary abstract forms. Her paintings are meditations on transition, vulnerability, and becoming, where emotion is not explained but felt through color, movement, and quiet tension.
